Welcome the haters!

Do you know any haters? Ever feel badly about yourself or your dreams because of the haters? Let me explain something about haters. Haters are gonna’ hate. That’s their job. Some haters will turn their hate to envy then eventually admiration and they’ll become your biggest supporters. But many will continue to hate on you.

The more successful you become, the more you embrace change, the more positive you are, the more confidence you embody, the more haters you’ll have. And that’s ok, because at least they know about you and what you’re doing. The worst case scenario is not hate, it’s not being known, it’s obscurity. Nothing good happens in obscurity.

Haters are afraid. They live in fear of failure and are too scared to come out of their comfort zones. Haters are threatened by your success because it forces them to re-evaluate themselves and where they are in life. It’s not about you. It’s about them.

While successful people crave change. They look for new opportunities, challenges and risks. Successful people want to learn new skills, educate themselves, read, figure things out, absorb and do.

Successful people are proactive. Haters are reactive.

Just remember, your haters will grow as you become more successful. It means you’re moving in the right direction.

HATER LANGUAGE: haters use common phrases and passive-aggressive comments to bring you down, such as:

  • Are you sure you want to do that?
  • Aren’t you a little too old for that?
  • That’s too risky.
  • Why don’t you just finish school already?
  • Why don’t you get a regular job?
  • Why are you never satisfied with what you have?
  • You’re being greedy/aggressive/pushy/opinionated, etc.
  • Why can’t you just blend in/get along/keep your opinions to yourself?
  • You can’t do everything.
  • How will you balance your career with…..children/running a household/pets/partners or spouses/family obligations….
  • Why would you do that?
  • What if you fail?
  • You don’t have time for that.
  • You don’t have enough money to do that.
  • It’s too late to try that.
  • You don’t have enough experience for that.
  • You’re not smart enough/good enough/strong enough.

Embrace the support and love you get from others. Discard the hate. It’s that simple.

  1. I would like to send this to a couple of “haters” in my life. Unfortunately my “haters” are mostly my family- the naysayers, who have never done anything different or had the guts to think differently.
I would like to reblog this if you allow me to.
