The Definition of Boring

Boring

Steven Pressfield wrote another book…..another book that changed my life. It’s called “Turning Pro: Tap Your Inner Power and Create Your Life’s Work”

It’s brutal in its honesty.

It’s stunningly simple in its clarity.

You have 2 choices in life:  You either repeat, endlessly repeat your boring life and your boring mundane activities, with your boring breakfast and boring friends, WITHOUT making any progress, WITHOUT any movement forward

OR

You go off course.

You break out of the box you put yourself in.

You turn pro.  You stop doing what others are doing. The inactivity, the ordinary chaos of your life and You. Turn. Pro.

Turning pro quote

Turning pro is free, but it’s not easy.  When we turn pro, we give up a life that we may have become extremely comfortable with. We give up a life that we have come to identify with and to call our own.

Turning pro is free, but it demands sacrifice. The passage from amateur to professional is often achieved via an interior odyssey whose trials are survived only at great cost, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. We pass through a membrane when we turn pro. It’s messy and it’s scary. We tread in blood when we turn pro. (Pressfield, 2012: page 5)

The question before you is: When will you turn pro?  When will you turn your life, your career, your fitness, your health, your finances pro?

Leave the amateurs behind.

It’s go time.
